SILENCE x Hope For The Day
The Alchemy of Repression through Mixed Media.
The Silence Campaign and Fundraiser uses compelling content to express the importance of integrating our Shadow Self, the aspects of us we deny or reject due to disapproval by society, family, friends, ourselves, etc. Whether from outside forces or not, we cause separation from our authenticity and light by hiding 'shameful' experiences or areas internally we do not accept, love, or feel worthy of.
In parallel, this project focused on preventing the silence around Suicide Prevention and Mental Health.
The Silence of Stigma
Rejecting aspects of yourself separates you from your light. What if you embraced your shadow? Would you still stay silent? ~
Silence is to empower, honor vulnerability, and bring a unique perspective to mental health discussions. Most importantly, it educates the importance of de-shaming. With supportive resources like Hope For The Day, people are safe to work through their darkness. Expressed through a medium of digital art, educating and inspiring those who may still be silent.

Suicide Prevention
The silence breaks when we shine light on them. This begins the shift from the intense emotions to empowerment and hope. Starting during Suicide Prevention Month, I partnered with Hope For The Day who empowers conversations around Suicide Prevention and the Silence of Stigma. From personal experiences encounters of Suicide from close family and friends, it pains me to know how alone these individuals feel and the lack of serious understanding from the mass.
Silence comes in all forms, but can scream so loud internally.
Metamorphosis
The silence breaks when we embrace, honor, and validate our experiences. Awareness and integration of our shadow parts glue the missing fragments of who we are. This grants us access to our greatest potential and fulfillment.
The moment you become unconditionally transparent with yourself catapults your evolution into the multifaceted wonders of the potential you harness. An extension from the main Silence piece, Metamorphosis intermingles the visual essence of when the silence becomes so internally loud, that you can no longer ignore it. This births the conversation with yourself.
Shame vs Courage
No more toxic positivity. Bypassing pain is a tremendous reason for silence. Unresolved emotions and pent-up experiences manifest into triggers. This can invite more suffering, helplessness, and shame.
It takes courage to transmute rooted shame. Inspired by Dr. David Hawkins Emotional Frequency chart ‘Power vs. Force’. The frequency of expansion begins at courage (versus ‘contracted’ frequency before then).
Shame is the lowest frequency a living being can be on.
Courage is the emotional turning point.
The Holistic Lens
Staying silent is resistance to our true selves. Silent parts we tend to hide due to emotional sensitivity are internal struggles like fears, insecurities, or destructive behavioral patterns. This only breeds the fire, leading to mental, physical, and emotional illnesses. I share my supporting personal narrative as an illustration.
Multiple truths exist to any given circumstance. Viewing them from an equal playing field helps to integrate a grander solution ~
For example: skin disorders also come from an over-burden liver, allergies, leaky gut, pathogens, genetics, hormones, environment, and so on. Can you also see that emotions influence a physical response that your body is trying to communicate? Hence, triggering and attracting these?
It’s like the chicken and the egg.
Even before you were born, your chakra system already carried repressed emotions from your lineage (along with all of the amazing stuff too). Take that with this life’s experiences…you’re going to tell me supplements and eating cleaner is the only way to better skin?
Our bodies are always talking to us. Even if you are not.

Finding inspiration through grunge symphonies and the legendary band Sum 41. Their music, lyrics, and history represent a theme throughout the Silence project.
